Supporting Documents (Please attach a diagram (one A4 page) showing the location of the panels and inverter and/or battery in relation to the layout of your lot and surrounding lots with a plan and elevation views. Any further supporting documentation can also be attached here.

The body corporate will consider applications for solar hot water and solar electricity systems subject to the following requirements:

(a) The location of the solar hot water system and/or solar electricity system is approved by the body corporate;
(b) If located on the roof, the system must be located on the roof area within the footprint of the lot;
(c) The applicant must provide confirmation from a suitably qualified person that the installation will not compromise the integrity of the roofing structure or structural elements of the lot or Common Property;
(d) The installation must not affect other lots right to quiet enjoyment of their lot and Common Property;
(e) The applicant must advise the Building Manager (if applicable) 48 hours prior to commencing the installation;
(f) The applicant must maintain the system in a state of good and serviceable repair and shall renew and replace or remove it when necessary;
(g) The applicant must pay for the repair and maintenance of the adjacent common property in the event that it is affected by the installation of such a system;
(h) The applicant must repair any damage to lots or common property made when installing the system;
(i) An appropriate licensed and insured contractor will undertake the installation in compliance with relevant Australian Standards;
(j) The applicant holds any necessary approvals of the local authority or any other relevant authorities;
(k) The applicant acknowledges that the body corporate insurance does not cover the system and will hold current appropriate insurance over the installation at all times;
(l) The applicant indemnifies, and must keep the body corporate indemnified against any claims made against or expenses incurred by the body corporate arising out of or caused by the installation or use and maintenance of the system;
(m) Should the Owner of the lot breach any of the above conditions the Body Corporate may require the owner to remove the improvements and should he fail to do so the Body Corporate may have the improvements removed at the lot owners cost;
(n) In granting approval for the installation, the Body Corporate Committee may impose further conditions as deemed necessary from time to time;
(o) The applicant will not interfere with any infrastructure already installed on Common Property;
(p) The applicant agrees that should the roof require repairs/replacement at any time, and the solar panels require removal, the removed re-installation of the said solar panels will be the sole responsibility of the owner of the “said lot”. All associated costs of the removal and re-installation are to be paid for by the owner of the “said lot”.
(q) If the electricity supply is provided via an embedded network the applicant must obtain the prior written approval of the embedded network operator and provide this to the Body Corporate.
